FOREST, VA All the news and information
about one of the top NCAA Division III football leagues in the
country will now be available via a new Website.
College
Sports Online, based in Forest, VA, has completed a new Website
for the Atlantic Central Football Conference, and it can be
accessed via its domain, ACFCFootball.com.
The Conference is administered by Commissioner
Stephen Bamford.
"With the growing popularity of
the Internet, we wanted to be better able to get our message
across to parents, fans, students and prospective student-athletes
about our conference and its member schools," Bamford stated.
"This new Website will allow that, and it can grow with us."
College Sports Online designed the new Website
and will maintain the content, in collaboration with the ACFC
Media Office, headed by Jim Heath. Rhudy Camper is the president
of College Sports Online.
"College Sports Online is carving its
niche with the NCAA Division III competitive level," states
Camper. "There are a number of one-sport leagues in this
country at different levels, and it is a logical extension of
current activities to become involved with them and with the
Atlantic Central Football Conference in particular. This is
especially so since one of its members, the Newport News
Apprentice School, is a client."
Camper continues, "We are extremely
pleased that College Sports Online and the ACFC will together
provide a sports site that fans will want to visit often."
The Website will have scores, standings,
statistics, news releases and links to the member schools.
The Atlantic Central Football Conference was
formed in the fall of 1997, and operates as a fully sanctioned
NCAA D-III Conference. The league consists of the Newport News
Apprentice School (Newport News, VA), Buffalo State College
(Buffalo, NY), Frostburg State University (Frostburg, MD),
Salisbury University (Salisbury, MD), SUNY Brockport (Brockport,
NY), and Wesley College (Dover, DE).
